Country Stitches would like to welcome Connie Dobson to our home. She will be teaching some great class in 2008.

Here is just some information about our new quilting sister.

Connie has been quilting for 30 years and teaching for 25 of those 30 years. She worked and taught at the Village Quilt Shop in Stone Mountain, GA for 13 yr. until it closed. Connie enjoys sharing what she has learned with anyone that wants to learn to quilt. 

Connie has won several Blue Ribbons at quilt shows, quilting 25 of the Olympic quilts that were presented at the Atlanta Olympics and helped to design and make the quilt that traveled with the Olympic Flag and was then presented to Billy Payne.  She has done programs for several quilt guilds in the Atlanta area.  One of her quilts was on display in the mall at one of the A.Q.S. shows held in Paducah, KY.  She also does machine quilting.  Connie was the second person to own one in the state of Georgia. 

She is a member of the Apple Country Quilt Guild in Ellijay

Connie is looking forward to teaching at the shop and meeting so more of her new quilting sister
