QUILTERS JOIN FOR "SHOP HOP"

Country Stitches in Blue Ridge was one of seven quilt shops in north Georgia that participated in a recent "shop hop" that brought several hundred quilters and sewing enthusiasts to Blue Ridge. Theme for the shop hops was holidays, with each shop decorating their location as a different holiday. Country Stitches chose Memorial Day and used the flags from the branches of military service as part of their red, white and blue decorations. Taking part in the local event were, from left, front, Country Stitches owner Priscilla Ryan, middle: Judy Krueger, Loraine O'Donell and Lou Flynt; back, Sue Brooks, Kathy Sherman and Gina Pye.
